Deer Mountain Wood Art

Well, alrighty then!! You know I knew this was going to be a big year! Reading this story gave me goosebumps! I kid you not! =D What do you think about the term "Spaceport" being slung about so casually? Did you ever think in your lifetime that you would see the first one being built?? I wondered, but sure didn't think it would become a reality?! (Picture is Virgin's WhiteKnight2 Spaceliner)
Wow!

and then, on a personal level!

Things that have come about for the New Year for me;

• 1st off, received a brand-spanking new pellet stove from my adopted MIL(long story!lol) to keep my tushie warm at work! Yay!!!
• and then, found out Tyler's going to be going to Russia this summer for sure!!! YAY!! I just can't believe the beautiful things that happen for him! :0D
• Ryan's help with the house has been incredible! We can walk through so many new areas!lol and we've found so many missing items! right on! =D
• I was about to take a job that would've made my morals questionable(I'll talk about that another time!lol) but instead I ended up with 3, count 'em, THREE, new @home jobs that are sure to bring us out of our financial crisis finally! YaaaYYY! and won't have to even consider the former =D
• my health improved almost over-night! I'm full of hope, optimism, and energy today and have been getting major hurdles out of the way! I'm so happy with the way life is going right now that I'm about to jump outta my skin! lol and in truth, all it took to make it this way was ONE plea to my Creator for help! Can't get better service than that!!!! =D

• and finally, new and amazing opportunities abound for Deer Mountain Creations/Wood Art and it is looking like this will be a banner year =D

So, you see - with the change of one guard(2008 - 2009), everything's so bright I'll have to wear shades :0)

I've come up with a new system for the blog - will be posting soon - and you will be able to check in on a regular basis to see just what you are interested in. It should be fun and hopefully interesting and entertaining =D I can't wait to begin!

{{{hugs}}} & love to all!

In appreciation for all of the great feedback and blog love I've gotten lately, I've decided to hold a "Bloggers Only" Store-Wide sale! From today, Sunday, Oct.19th until Friday, Oct.31, 2008 if you mention "ShopNotes" in 'note to seller' when you check out, I will send you a revised invoice reflecting a WHOPPING! 20% off any item in the shop, or custom ordered during this time!! Hope you enjoy =D
Go Shopping!

In other news, I've removed some of my more personal, not related at all to DMWA, posts to my other blog, "Three Boys and a Dog" to clear up some of the 'clutter' here - you are still welcome to read about my 'personal life' by visiting this link - and I will be trying to keep more on-topic. I will still have some family/personal stuff in DMWA ShopNotes, but it will be minimal! =D Hope this helps :) Off to work this morning - hope you all have a GREAT day!! and as always, "Thanks for stopping by the shop!" Just listed my "Pet Keepsake Boxes"! I think they're a great idea and have one myself :o)

I created my first one after my beloved little Cockatiel, Roo, died. I love having her close instead of in the cold ground and being that wood is naturally warm, it makes me feel better for some reason.

I listed this one as a generic keepsake box, but the main idea is to create customized boxes that can be used to keep all of your most precious possessions and memories in as well as being compartmentalized so that your little one's ashes will be encased safely by themselves.

These are the large ones that can hold quite a bit and will be very useful!

Anyway, here's a shot of the "Dalmation Keepsake Box" I just listed - take a look and if you have any suggestions for future projects, please be sure to write <deermountainwoodart{at}earth-link.net> !

Until next time, Thanks for "stopping by the shop!"

I'm so excited about this one! It has the potential to really spruce up a room and doesn't cost that much for a whole series => Here's a link to the listing and a picture to show you what he looks like - "Timber Wolf" is straight out of my sketchbook and the whole series is from my original artwork - very collectible!

And here's a preview of the next one coming out in the "Wolf Art Blocks" series next week -

The third in the series is wolf pups and they are so cute - I know you'll love them!

Well, it's off to work in the real world =<

Thank you for "stopping by the shop!"
